24th July 2003 Windsurfing: Golf Course Car Park, Borth Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: 10-18 knots Surf / Sea State: 1 foot messy surf Air Temperature: 16C Sea Temperature: 17C Weather: Rain Max Speed: Distance Covered: The wind looked OK (18 knots) when I got to the beach and Chris was just packing up after a quick kite-surf session, so I rigged my 5.7m and Hifly, By the time I'd rigged, it seemed to have dropped a litle though, so I went out on my bigger board instead. It was OK, but a little gusty however I was planing most of the time and once or twice overpowered in the squalls. I then snapped a harness line so came in to change that and when I went back out, the wind seemed to have dropped a little and I spent most of the time on the verge of planing. A couple of runs like that and I gave up. |
